A wooden mousepad with an integrated phone stand, made by hand.
The piece brings together a mousepad and a phone stand on the same wooden base. The stand is not cut from the same block: it is a separate part, glued to the base and adjusted until the joint disappeared in the finish. Cutting, gluing, sanding and finishing were all done by hand, bringing out the grain and the warm tone of the wood.
Made in 2025 in Mackenzie's Woodworking course, the project was an exercise in craft and proportion: finding the right angle for the rest and the thickness that holds the phone without looking heavy.
